MEDIAСOMPASS AND NIBULON HAVE CREATED A NEW FORMAT OF TRANSPORT NETWORKING
RESULTS OF THE FORUM TRANS EXPO 2019
The International Black Sea Transport Forum «Trans Expo Odessa», which is held annually in the maritime capital of Ukraine, in 2019, was held in a new format.
For 4 days, from 18 to 21 September, the Forum united two cities – Odessa and Mykolaiv – into one demonstration and networking site under the ambitious name «Trans Expo Odessa-Mykolaiv 2019».
The Forum started on 18 September in Odessa and joined four exhibitions: the 22nd international exhibition on transport and logistics «TransUkraine 2019»; the international specialized exhibition «TransRail Ukraine 2019»; the specialized exhibition «Commercial and Municipal Transport 2019»; the 15th international exhibition on shipping, shipbuilding and port development «Odessa 2019», as well as the 22nd international conference «Development of the Transport System of Ukraine: Challenges And Prospects».
The transport sector and maritime industry of Ukraine were represented at the forum by the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine (ASPU), Mariupil Sea Port, Derzhhidrographia, pjsc «Ukrzaliznytsia» and Analytical Center «Ukrainian Institute of the Future».
The industry communities of Ukraine were represented by Associations Ukrzovnishtrans, Port Community, Association of Maritime Agencies of Ukraine, CCI «Benelux-Ukraine» and Maritime Chamber of Ukraine.
National shipbuilding was presented by Nibulon Company and Okean Shipbuilding Plant.
The permanent participant «Stentor Industries BV», a Dutch manufacturer of components for ship power plants, took part in the exhibition together with their partners «Eliche Radice SRL», Radial Foundry from Italy producing parts for vessels, and «Electric Engineering LTD», the official representative of European marine equipment manufacturers.
The status of permanent participant was also confirmed by the following companies: «Zeppelin Ukraine», the official representative of «Caterpillar» in Ukraine, the world manufacturer of diesel and gas engines, construction and mining equipment; Design Bureau «ProLine»; «J. P. Sauer&Sohn» together with «Cathelco» and LLC «Spetskran», the manufacturer of lifting equipment and hydraulic drives.
For the second year running, the Exhibition was attended by Anglo-Belgian Corporation (ABC), the largest European manufacturer of engines and generator plants; Water Way Tech Holland Group, which presented innovative Dutch technologies for the construction of inland waterways and seaports, as well as by «HWH Machines». The Company has a wide range of specialized machines and technologies, as well as auxiliary equipment for the transshipment of scrap metal. The head office is located in Germany and its representation offices – in Russia and Kazakhstan.
Pending seventeen years of work with transshipment equipment «HWH MACHINES» has earned a reliable reputation in the market. This is confirmed by the fact that the Company is the official dealer of the manufacturer Terex Fuchs, Seram, HGT и Hammel. French-made Seram electric cranes will help port organizations unload cargo quickly and efficiently.
The effectiveness of the forum was twice confirmed by the Lithuanian transport company «ASA Prekyba». In addition, the logistics sector was presented at the forum by the Austrian Holding «DDSG», which has many years of experience in the organization of cargo transportation on the Danube and Mein, and the newcomer – the Polish Ferry Carrier «TT-Line».
It should be noted that many Ukrainian and foreign companies successfully debuted at the forum. Thus, the attention of participants and guests of the event was attracted by the exposition of the German company «Kärcher», which presented a line of the latest equipment for professional cleaning in transport and logistics.
Besides, there were companies that took part in the forum for the first time: «Vigan Engineering S. A.» (Belgium), the manufacturer of ship loaders and unloaders for dry bulk cargo; «LLC «Kort-07» (Ukraine), the manufacturer of spare parts for locomotives and machinery; «Hydropress» (Poland), the manufacturer of industrial hydraulic equipment; «Aras Marine Construction CO» (Turkey), a company specializing in the construction of ports and oil and gas platforms «turnkey»; «Kalender Makina» (Turkey), the manufacturer of components and parts for ships; «Eljunga» (Lithuania), the manufacturer fuel measuring instruments; «Nsoft» (Lithuania), the developer of warehouse logistics software; «Pewag Ukraine», subsidiary of the chain products manufacturer «Pewag» (Austria); «V. G. Marine Service» (Ukraine), the developer of innovative technologies for energy efficiency, ecology, safety, vital activity, ergonomics, sailors health and the quality of food improvement on ships.
Another debutant PJSC «Kriukiv Railway Car Building Plant» represented the national mechanical engineering, in particular, railway transport and municipal equipment.
The banking sector was represented by the Ukrainian Bank «Ukrgazbank» specializing in financing of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
The Ukrainian sector of industry education was presented by the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding. (Mykolaiv) and the National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» (Odessa).
This year the forum was marked by active participation of Poland. Thus, the conference was attended by representatives of the Port of Gdansk, Port of Gdynia, Department of Economic Development of the Pomorskie Voivudstvo, Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, Development Agency of Pomerania and the Association of Ukrainian Business in Poland.
The main topics of the conference were: priorities of the development of an effective transport system of Ukraine; formation of the rail transport market new model principles in Ukraine; development of the road infrastructure of Ukraine and the road transport market; prospects for the Ukrainian ports development: key trends, new solutions for ports and terminals; and information technology in transport logistics.
On 20-21 September, the forum continued its work in Mykolaiv, in the territory of the Shipbuilding Plant owned by the Nibulon Company.
The specialized exhibition «Shipbuilding and Water Transport 2019» was attended by the companies that had presented themselves in Odessa the day before. Among them were agricultural holding «Nibulon», shipbuilding plant «Okean», the companies «Kärcher», «HWH Machines», «Proline», «J.P. Sauer&Sohn», «Hydropress», «Eljunga», «Pewag Ukraine», «V. G. Marine Service» and the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding.
The exhibition stands were also presented by «Transas Ukraine», LLC «Khladotekhnika», «MT Sudoservice» LLC, TPK «NAK», LLC «The Azov Cable Company», «DMT Marine Equipment», «Bulutlu Marine», «Asaba», «Averon», «Motorimpex», «NSoft» and «Ferry Plus».
As part of the event program, launched was the largest vessel in the last 15 years of Ukraine independence and in the history of the Shipyard «Nibulon». It was a 140-meter floating crane Nibulon Max with two crane parts and a granary for 10 thousand tons. In addition, the laying of new vessels took place: the port tug pusher-tilter, project T410, and a non-self-propelled vessel, project B1500.
Besides, the participants and guests of the forum saw an enchanting water show and a large-scale parade of the company's fleet, which includes 75 ships today.
Simultaneously with the exhibition, a Round Table was held on the theme: «The Development of Inland River Transport – the Way to Revival of Ukrainian Shipbuilding (Practical Experience, Prospects and Problems of the Industry)», which was attended by the leading Ukrainian and international industry experts, representatives of the authorities, embassies and international financial organizations.
No less interesting was the second day of the forum: familiarity with the exhibition expositions, tours of the enterprise with an overview of the plant's capacity and demonstration of the main production processes – from the manufacture of parts to the formation of strong hulls, as well as sail sings on passenger ships «Nibulon Express».
Holding the forum in a new format was made possible thanks to the aspiration of agricultural holding «Nibulon» to develop strategic sectors of the economy of Ukraine and the experience of the Company «MediaCompass» in the sector of exhibition technologies.
