Polish Register of Shipping (PRS) is a classification society and an independent institution providing expert services on the international market. Our goal is to assist our clients in ensuring safety of people, floating objects and land undertakings, of carried cargo and that of the natural environment. PRS is a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), an organization approved by the European Union to perform surveys and inspections of sea-going ships, a classification institution approved by the European Commission to perform surveys and inspections of inland waterways vessels and an organization authorized by 40 maritime administrations to act on their behalf. We are a body notified by the European Union (entry No. 1463) and an accredited body for certification of management systems. Our services include classification of ships and other floating objects and technical supervision over them, independent expert supervision in the field of design, construction and operation of offshore structures, onshore facilities, transmission infrastructure as well as roads and bridges. We provide certification of products, personnel and management systems for conformity with applicable regulations. We conducts training courses as well as scientific research and experiments.

Maritime industry companies, owners of ships, shipyards, design offices, ship equipment manufacturers. All economic entities operating in the maritime industry and interested in cooperation with the classification society. Manufacturers interested in certification of their products (and/or process certification) for EU market, ISO certification of production or company.

Products: Classification and statutory surveys of see-going ships, inland waterways vessels, yachts and boats, naval craft and other special purpose objects intended for the State security and defence, product type approvals, certification of welders, certification of containers, approvals of manufacturers and service suppliers, product certification (MED, PPER, RCD, PED), ISO certification.
